Born and raised in the Annapolis, Maryland area. Summers were spent on the Chesapeake Bay and in Ocean City, Maryland. I have been a resident of North Palm Beach for the last 10 years.
I was introduced to Rob and Jackie Carmichael through a friend, Newt Cagle. We started our friendship fishing a year or so before the Sportfish Championship started to evolve. Once we started fishing together a few other buddies began to fish full time with Lights Out Boston AC. Fun times.
My favorite fishing memory? That’s a very tough question. I would say the single day that sticks out the most would be aboard the Real One for our Maryland State Record Swordfish. This fish paid out over half a million dollars in the Huk Bigfish Classic. We hooked the fish at Noon and boated it at 8:00 PM. Had no idea it was a state record or that it was going to pay out anywhere close to that. We swept the whole event and calcuttas due to no other big Billfish being weighed. Took all the blue marlin and white marlin money. I caught a 20-pound yellowfin and bailed it over the rail and into the box. That fish counted toward our stringer which ended up being “Heaviest Stringer” and put us a few ounces ahead of the 2nd place boat. Never know when the little ones count. Great day.
I joined the Moore Yacht Sales team this past year and have found a passion for it through success. My ongoing efforts with ComMar Sales keep me fully equipped in the field whether supplying boat manufacturers with Boat Systems or selling a client a new boat through Moore Yacht Sales.
I look forward to the Lights Out Boston crew continuing to be a powerhouse in all events. The versatility of our group is impressive.
