OUR LEGACY

Lights Out Boston Angling Club is a team in the Sport Fishing Championship. The team was established by owner Drew Dolben to represent Boston in the premier fishing competition in the world. Dolben signed on the Viking 62, Lights Out and boat co-owners Captain Rob Carmichael and his wife Jackie Hayes, who have worked as an entrepreneurial team since 1998, founding and building multiple successful businesses.

Since 2020, Lights Out has established itself as a force in Sport Fishing Tournaments with solid tournament showings from Zane Grey Cabo, the Carolina Billfish Classic (Charlston, SC), Oak Bluffs Bluewater Classic (Martha’s Vineyard, MA), Big Game Battle (Nantucket, MA), Tri-State Canyon Shootout (Block Island, RI), and Bluefin Blast (Nantucket, MA).

ABOUT THE SPORT FISHING CHAMPIONSHIP

Lights Out Boston Angling Club is one of thirteen angling clubs competing in the Sport Fishing Championship. The SFC is a professional sport fishing league that organizes 12 SFC tournaments throughout the spring and summer, divided equally between the two geographical divisions, the Atlantic Division and the Gulf Division. Lights Out Boston AC is in the Atlantic Division.

The teams of each division compete in their six tournaments, which coincide with established sportfishing events, and teams are ranked in division standings based on the points they accrue in each tournament. At the end of the regular season, the two teams atop the standings in each division are invited to the SFC Championship Playoffs.

The Sport Fishing Championship was formed to unite premier fishing tournaments and create a competitive series to showcase the sport of offshore sport fishing to a global audience. The SFC is growing the positive impact on the local economies of its championship towns, and is continuously improving our championship tournaments and capturing the drama and excitement of its championship competition.
